Established in 1948, the People's Hospital of Yangqu County is the only Grade-II Level-A modern comprehensive hospital intetrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive rehabilitation in the county. It serves a population of 158,000 of the entire county. The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine consists of outpatient, ward and rehab treatment center. It has 46 sick beds, 9 rehabilitation physicians including 1 chief physician and 1 associate chief physician, 10 nurses and 8 rehabilitation therapists.

In November 2016, the hospital decided to adopt CARF standards for perfecting its management and service flow and for providing rehabilitation service of higher quality. After preparation of more than one year, the hospital passed one-year CARF accreditation in April 2018.

OKEWAY ShunDao assisted the People’s Hospital of Yangqu County to successfully obtain one-year CARF accreditation for its comprehensive integrated rehabilitation program – hospital (adult) on April 23, 2018, and it became the first county-level rehab facility in China which has obtained CARF accreditation.
